The Passion of the Christ: Resurrection is an upcoming American epic biblical drama film, It is scheduled for release on March 31, 2021. The film will be directed by Mel Gibson, through a script by Randall Wallace, starring Jim Caviezel as Jesus Christ, Maia Morgenstern as Mary, Monica Bellucci as Mary Magdalene and Hristo Zhivkov and Francesco De Vito as the Apostles John and Peter, respectively.

The film is the sequel to Gibson's The Passion of the Christ, which focused on the 12 hours before Jesus' death and included a brief depiction of his resurrection. Similarly, the sequel focuses on the events that occurred between the three days of Jesus' crucifixion and resurrection.
