Nothing special about me, just a normal 5'6 guy from a small city. But, I experienced something that I would never forget. It all started from a speed dating app named Tinder.


I was diagnosed with Major Depressive Disorder and was on extreme medication. My psychiatrist gave me 240 pills to take for a month. That's 8 pills a day! F*ck!


"For your own good life" he said.


Also he constantly encouraged me to meet new people. So, that's how i started using Tinder.

I met this girl from Tinder. We didn't talk much. Mostly I didn't reply her texts. I was busy with work.


One night i felt devastated, apparently my depression struck me in the back. I even took the emergency pill (thats how i called it).


"Okay! Perhaps I need to meet someone new." I told myself


I reached my phone, went through contacts. "Dewi" nice girl, good english, talkative. Okay, I'll go with her.


"Busy on Sunday?" I sent her a text.


"Mmm not really."


"Lets go on a Ferris Wheel"


That was me being me, bold and straight forward.


"Wow. That sounds a good idea."


"Okay. I'll take a morning train. Probably I'll get there by 8"


I fell asleep. The pills worked.

8:10 I jumped out of the train. OHH YOGYAKARTA!! Full of memories. Probably I will make another one, I thought.


I texted her where she should meet me.

A girl walked to me, petite, with a red outer and white shoes. She waved to me, she was sure it was me.

"Hi! Been waiting for so long?" Her face was full of smile, mine was plain. She's so cheerful, I thought.

"Not really. 10 minutes maybe"

We chatted a bit. Boring!

"Wow you sound Bri'ish tho"  she said, trying to copy the way I pronounced T's.

Well, watching Jimmy Carr and Ricky Gervais excessively worked out!

"So, where are we going today?" she asked, cheerfully.

"Ferris Wheel" I said, plain.

"YEAY!! FERRIS WHEEL!!" She f*ckin yelled!

"Why don't you even smile? Are you not happy?" She stared at my face.

"Well..... I am"

"Then smile!"

I smiled, weird.

"This is me. Sad, happy, the same"
